BUDOSPRING 2026 Opening Ceremony

I was honored to be invited to the opening ceremony of BUDOSPRING 2026 which organized by ASD Taki no Kan Verona, Shodan Dojo Sovicille and Judo CUS Siena in collaboration with the international organization Koryu Budo Seifukai held on April 30th at the magnificent Accademia del Rozzi in Siena, Italy.

During the ceremony, the "YAMATO AWARD 2026" was presented to those who have significantly contributed to Japanese culture and martial arts. I was also humbled to receive a commemorative medal from ACSI (Associazione di Cultura Sport e Tempo Libero).

Following the solemn speeches by the Shihan masters, I was impressed to watch a breathtaking demonstration performed by the members of ASD TAKI NO KAN dojo. The atmosphere was truly dignified and inspiring.

What moved me most was seeing how deeply these international organizations respect, praise, and strive to preserve our Japanese traditions. Feeling firsthand the passion with which our culture is being passed down across borders was a profoundly touching experience.
